Osama bin Mohammed bin Awad bin Laden /oʊˈsɑːmə bɪn ˈlɑːdən/ (Arabic: أسامة بن محمد بن عوض بن لادن, ʾUsāmah bin Muḥammad bin ʿAwaḍ bin Lādin; March 10, 1957 – May 2, 2011), also rendered Usama bin Ladin, was a Saudi Arabian-born Stateless Muslim terrorist who founded the terrorist militant organization al-Qaeda, through which he planned and coordinated terror attacks around the world. He was a Saudi Arabian citizen until 1994 (stateless thereafter), a member of the wealthy bin Laden family.
